[There's no absolute there, no promise, but the allowance made is what gets Maverick to relax a little more, curling his arms around Rover and pulling them to him as he sighs out slow.]

[He hums softly, tipping his chin up a bit to give Rover more space and arch into the contact at the same time.]

[They kiss down his chest, taking their time. They're in no rush, and they're sure Maverick isn't, either.]

[He may not be in a rush, and he'd happily laze about all day, but there's still a twitch of impatience at their leisurely pace. He lifts a hand to gently tangle in their hair, smoothing through before resting there. Gives him an extra point to...guide from, if it's needed. While Maverick wants to continue the banter, his mind is drawing a blank that only gets worse as he feels he's disappointing them.]

[Oh, that's a complicated feeling, and Rover will be immediately alerted to Maverick's trepidation by the way his fingers curl in their hair, tightening into a fist and inadvertently tugging. This wasn't bad -- not bad at all -- but any more than that and he doesn't know anymore. It speaks to his trust in Rover that he lets his hand relax again and that his voice is lacking tension when he requests,]

[They almost pull themselves away just to be an asshole, but they like Maverick too much to do that.

They don't waste much more time with kisses or teasing touches, and they're as methodical about it as they are with everything else. On the upside, though, is the fact they don't have to breathe and they don't have a gag reflex.

They pull themself off at the end, wiping the back of their hand against their mouth and giving Maverick a sweet smile.]

[He'd been half-expecting it, really, but he's more than happy to be proven wrong in this case. Even moreso once they get started and don't...stop. In a way, it's overwhelming, and he frequently loses track of his grip on Rover's hair or the idea of keeping his hips braced to stop himself from bucking deeper into their mouth. He doesn't keep track of how long it takes, or the odd, too smooth texture of their tongue, either. Just grits his teeth to try and bite back the noises he wants to make while otherwise lying back and letting himself enjoy it.

That he does just fine, and he breathes out a laugh when he hears their voice again. What a bastard. He shifts his other arm, which he'd used to drape across his face, and gives them a dazed, crooked smile.]

C'mere and kiss me. [He can rate their performance once that's taken care of.]

[The thing they enjoy the most out of it is when Maverick's control slips. They'll have to tell him that, later. Probably when he's least expecting it, so they can fluster him.

They grin, scooting up to press a kiss to his lips.]

[Maverick sighs against their lips, annoyed and amused all at once.]

Shut up... [Why are they like this!!!! Why does he like them, ugh. What a pain.

And yet he's still going to answer that, because he's a stupid brat, too.]
