[It's almost what's supposed to be the end of the world, but Maverick's felt like he's been in an eternity for a while now. Bed after bed in hotel after hotel in city after city... In their journey around the world, everything had always been changing except for waking up to that familiar, too beautiful face next to him. That's a constant, and he's so fucking grateful to have it.
Sleepy as he is and as dream-like as his life felt, it takes him a moment of just watching Rover before he pushes himself onto an elbow with a steadying inhale and leans over to kiss them. He'd need to shower and brush his teeth soon -- compared to them, he was extra disgusting in the morning -- but for now? For now he doesn't want to leave the comfort of feeling Rover's skin against his own. In this quiet, blissful moment, he's convinced that he could stay like this forever. Food and boredom be damned.]
Morning... [If it is morning, anyway. It was hard to keep track with time zones jumping around as much as they did, and all.] All charged up, babe?
[Definitely long past morning, but not the worst they've seen Maverick sleep in. Apparently all of this travel can be hell on someone's internal clock, and just because their's adjusts automatically doesn't mean Maverick's shitty flesh body does.
They're already upright in bed, a travel pamphlet they grabbed from the front desk for the novelty of it in their lap, and they smile into the kiss. (Decidedly keeping their taste turned off - morning breath is kind of gross, they discovered, a very long time ago.)]
Yeah. You know charging doesn't take very long.
[One of the benefits of being created by someone like Rex and spending most of their time in a low-power form, they suppose.
They raise a hand, gently patting over Maverick's hair and being careful not to catch on any tangles that are most definitely there.]
[Two thirty-six... He's torn between a 'shit, really?' and a 'eh, morning enough.' It wasn't like time meant anything, when going around doing whatever the hell you want with someone you love. His eyes close as he submits to their hand, his sleepy, soft hum a warning that if Rover continues these affectionate attentions, he might be falling asleep again soon, but on top of them this time. He just wants to enjoy this...
Breakfast, though. Or lunch, by this time. He probably should eat so he can wake up and they can get on with what's left of the day. Maverick sighs softly, tucking his face inwards to nip at their skin. If he were more awake and on his game, he could tease that he'd much rather eat them, but...this'll have to do. Rover's heard enough of his cheese that they can probably fill in the blanks, and it wasn't like it was something feasible, anyway.]
Please, since I guess I should get my ass to the shower, huh?
I'll psl in inboxes if I want to, I'm a goblin, idk if we want Library existing here or not
